Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist

Hello, I’m Angela Bishop, a registered social worker. My passion for helping others stems from my own experiences of personal growth and acceptance. Throughout my own journey, I have had to learn new ways to show myself compassion and work through challenges as they arise. Whether it be in relation to loss, transitions, parenting, or just life’s daily demands, I have learned valuable lessons along the way.

I understand that life gets busy, and as a result, asking for help and finding time for yourself can become even more challenging. In the whirlwind of it all, we often get lost and forget to check in with ourselves, ensuring we are doing okay. Surprisingly, you might discover that you are no longer able to manage all the daily stressors that you once could.

So where do you turn? I am here to help and tell you that it is okay. You can get through this and we can do it together!

For over 15 years, I have worked with individuals and families, providing support as they navigate through difficult emotions and challenges. Throughout my practice, I have consistently worked in partnership with my clients. I have collaborated to develop an individualized healing approach that aligns with their unique needs and preferences.

My intention is to create a safe and validating space where you can freely explore the challenges and stressors that hinder your wellness. Additionally, I aim to equip you with concrete tools and strategies that will enhance your resilience, facilitate forward progress, and ultimately improve your well-being.

Angela Bishop MSW, RSW, PMH-C - Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist

The clients I work with frequently face a variety of difficulties, including low mood, distressing thoughts, anxiety, depression, significant life changes and transitions, stress, and burnout, parenting challenges, prenatal and postpartum challenges, grief and loss, as well as feelings of isolation and loneliness.

As a mother of young children myself, I have a particular interest in supporting parents during the prenatal and postpartum period, as well as throughout the different stages of parenthood. I personally understand the challenges associated with extreme fatigue, societal pressures to meet perceived standards of parenting, navigating relationships as a first-time mom, coping with mood fluctuations, and occasionally feeling overwhelmed by the demands of daily life.

I deeply appreciate the unique challenges, and emotions, as well as the physical and mental changes that accompany the transition to parenthood. It is truly an honor for me to support others throughout this transformative journey. By working collaboratively with my clients, I strive to identify their individual strengths and abilities. I empower them to utilize these strengths to overcome obstacles they may encounter in their lives.
