For dads and partners, the signs might show up differently, but the struggles are just as real. These may include feelings of overwhelm, stress, agitation, or isolation. Fathers may also experience changes in mood, appetite, or sleep patterns, as well as a sense of detachment or inadequacy.

Birth trauma can also leave a lasting impact on both mothers and fathers, leading to symptoms such as flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, or avoidance of reminders of the traumatic event.

If any of this sounds familiar, know that help is available, and you deserve to feel better.
